Boxing weigh-ins are usually standard events unless someone misses weight.
World champion Shawn Porter almost missed weight yesterday ahead of his latest fight tonight but alas, he got there in the end.
The reaction from his respected coach and father Kenny was quite hilarious too.
Almost as if his son had won the fight when the news was read out that he came inside the official 147lbs weight:
Perhaps fellow PBC stable mate and welterweight world champion Errol Spence said it best:
Porter is favored to win tonight’s fight but knows no slip ups can be afforded if he wants to land a big fight later in the year whether that be against the likes of Spence, Pacquiao or other top names at welterweight.
Porter is usually always in exciting fights and brings a high work rate to his bouts as well as solid punching power so tonight will definitely be worth a watch in a relatively quiet weekend of boxing outside of Dmitry Bivol and Maurice Hooker also fighting tonight.
