WBA welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao although 40 years old still carried enough power and skill to win a decision tonight in Vegas over Adrien Broner.
In a tactical chess match, Pacquiao did enough to control the bout with his superior work rate over an Adrien Broner who didn’t throw enough punchers to win the fight.
Broner’s movement did trouble Pacquiao at times but he wasn’t able to capitalize by throwing enough punches.
Pacquiao showed his power on a couple of occasions during the fight with left hands that looked to have hurt Broner.
Largely the jab proved to be key for Pacquiao tonight as well as well placed body punch work.
Here’s some of the early reaction to the unanimous points decision win for Pacquiao tonight:
Tonight’s attendance at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas was
13,025 and was confirmed as a sell out.
