Boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez’ next fight has now been formally confirmed and announced.
In recent days very public attempts were made to make a third fight with middleweight rival Gennady Golovkin but according to Canelo promoter Oscar De La Hoya — they were shot down quickly in those attempts.
Instead they have moved quickly to secure a unification bout at 160lbs with ‘Miracle Man’ Danny Jacobs of Brooklyn, New York, in what promises to be an all action war between two elite level warriors.
It’s a superb fight to be fair and the sentiment reflected below in fan reaction has paid credit where credit is due to a terrific bit of matchmaking.
