In recent times former WBC light-heavyweight world champion Adonis Stevenson came into unfortunate health news following his last bout that saw him stopped inside the distance which lead to medical complications following the fight.
Initially it was reported that Stevenson had suffered a brain injury that required him to be placed into a medically induced coma.
Following this however some conflicting reports came out before Christmas but his brother and close members of his team confirmed before the holiday period that the boxer had in fact come out of the coma and was showing signs of improvement.
Further positive news has now come from his wife on Twitter who said he continues to show signs of improvement:
