Everything is still totally up in the air at the moment as regarding who Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will actually face next.
What we do know at this point is that Wembley stadium is booked for April 13th for Joshua’s next fight.
Recent reports and interviews suggested that Hearn and Joshua were not all that interested in a possible fight with Tyson Fury but in a stunning turn of events, Hearn has not ruled out such a showdown next up at all.
Speaking to Kugan Cassius of IFL TV, Hearn said:
“Everything is up for negotiations. We want to box on April 13th. Believe it or not AJ is passionate about British boxing. He wants to bring that fight here. If we can’t get that fight unless it’s in America then he’s got a decision to make. Not me.”
He added:
“Everything is in the air. Don’t be surprised if we fight Wilder at Wembley. Don’t be surprised if we fight Fury at Wembley.”
Everything hinges on this weekend’s fight between Dillian Whyte and Dereck Chisora in that if Whyte were to lose, the landscape is blown up once again for April 13th’s Wembley date for Joshua as he could potentially be left without an opponent if Fury and Wilder were not to be secured as opponents.
Everything appears to be up for negotiation at this point.
Boxing is a crazy game.
