Shawn Porter Talks What Happens If Pacquiao Were To Lose To Broner

World champion Shawn Porter has a close eye on the upcoming match in his own division at welterweight between Manny Pacquiao and Adrien Broner.

Both men could be possible opponents in 2019 for Porter pending on what happens in their fight.

Although Pacquiao is chasing the Mayweather rematch, if he were to lose to Broner – you’d have to think it would diminish the fight’s value.

Speaking to Fight Hub, Porter said:

“I’m bias because I’ve been working with Manny all that. I think it’s Manny’s to take. I think by decision. Yeah. Broner’s no slouch we know that, he can take a punch. We’ve seen him take a lot. But along the way it’s going to be pretty entertaining. That is his (Broner’s) biggest fight to date. I think if he wins that it puts in some serious talks not necessarily against a champion but a top contender.”

If Pacquiao were to lose to Broner, Porter said:

“He fights Showtime Shawn Porter.”

Porter recently won the WBC welterweight world title against fellow PBC stable mate Danny Garcia.

Pacquiao vs Broner is expected to happen on January 19th in Las Vegas with an official press conference between the two expected very soon we understand from close sources.
