Deontay Wilder Trainer Reveals The Painful Physical Consequences He’s Felt From Training Wilder

WBC heavyweight champion of the world Deontay Wilder is known for his freakish power but this is just down right crazy power.

It turns out Wilder is the only fighter in the world who needs to have three pad men due to regularly sending his coaches to the emergency room.

Speaking to BT Sport ahead of his fight with Tyson Fury on December 1st, one of Wilder’s coach Jay Deas said:

“He threw a punch and I didn’t quite catch it. I didn’t think anything about it but then the next day there was this huge red and black welt that went from here to there and it was like this big (pointing from the top of his shoulder to half way down his right arm).”

He went on to say:

“And another time he came and just caught me under the body suit. The next day I was like wow that hurts and I went to the doctor and he said, we’re going to have to do hernia surgery.”

He added:

“He separated Coach Cuz’ thumb, dislocated Mark Breland’s shoulder. Deontay is the only fighter in the world that has had three mitt men because someone is always on the injury list.”

Wilder takes on Fury on December 1st in LA as bot men narrow down their focus now with just a few weeks to go.
