Terence Crawford Trainer Breaks Pacquiao vs Broner Down

Terence Crawford’s trainer has chimed in on what he thinks plays out in the expected Manny Pacquiao vs Adrien Broner fight this coming January.

While no date has been formally confirmed just yet for the fight, it has been widely reported that either January 12th or January 19th are favorites for the bout to take place.

For a while Terence Crawford was linked with a fight against Pacquiao but now that Pacquiao is his own boss and not under the same promoter, coupled with signing with adviser Al Haymon, that fight is not going to happen at this late stage of Pacquiao’s career.

Speaking to Fight Hype – Crawford’s coach Brian McIntyre said of Pacquiao vs Broner:

“I hope Broner beats him. Yeah, I hope Broner beats him because he (Pacquiao) didn’t want to fight Terence. I see it going like Mayweather (fights) because Mayweather is going to work with Broner (for the fight). It’s going to be the jab all night long, you know, Broner is not a mobile fighter. He’s going to lay on the ropes, shoulder roll, try to get the job done. You never know, Manny might surprise him at 40 years old.”

WBO welterweight champion Crawford recently recorded a 12th round TKO victory over Jose Benavidez Jr.
