It might not have been a sell out at the TD Garden in Boston last night but 6000 plus passionate fans more than made up for it as did one very special guest appearance from world-famous fighter Conor McGregor.
McGregor was in town to support his fellow Irish fighter Katie Taylor.
Taylor dominated all ten rounds over Cindy Serrano to defend her IBF and WBA world titles and keep her impressive pro carer going.
After the fight McGregor said of Taylor and her handlers:

What an honour to watch our very own @katie_t86 live tonight in Boston! This lady epitomizes hard work, passion, drive, and laser like focus! A motivating inspiration! Congrats Katie and coach @rosstraining! Promoter Eddie Hearn and manager Brian Peters you both better be making sure our champion is looked after and guided fairly and correctly up that money tree as her activity is constant and consistent. This lady is an asset and should be treated as such. We are watching. Great work team Katie! #IrelandChampion
Fair play to McGregor for the support.
Katie Taylor in many circles within boxing is considered the greatest female boxer of all time and over the course of the new few years has being charged with the task of growing female boxing as a sport.
As well as solidifying and growing her own status to the star around the world that her considerable talents deserve.
And as McGregor mentions above, no doubt she’ll be rightly compensated for it too.
The Katie Taylor pro career continues to roll on.
