Terence Crawford is alleging Manny Pacquiao said something that Manny usually wouldn’t be the type of guy to say and he’s called out the Filipino boxing legend on social media for it.
Last year and in 2016 the pair were linked with fighting one another when they were under the Top Rank promotional banner and stable together.
The fight never happened however as much as most people thought it would and the two have always spoken respectfully about one another since.
Until now it would seem. Crawford has sent the following message to Pacquiao on Twitter:
“@mannypacquiao you said I was scared of you? Stop it you and I both know that you didn’t want to fight me that’s why you fought Jeff Horn. I had to go behind you and clean up what you couldn’t do because you thought it was sweet and take the easy route you forgot.”
The pair fighting at this stage seems very unlikely all together for two reasons really.
One, Pacquiao is no longer with the same promoter as Crawford in the form of Top Rank.
Ttwo, a fight with Adrien Broner or Floyd Mayweather would do much larger numbers for him and earn him bigger paydays in the final year of his career.
