Gervonta Davis Names Comeback Date, Opponent To Be Confirmed Shortly

Talented undefeated former world champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis is now under pressure to get down to fight weight after he revealed the date he’s coming back on.

It is widely thought that Davis will take on Abner Mares in the US next up, however some recent issues between Davis and his mentor and promoter Floyd Mayweather seemed to cause some confusion.

It appears that things seem to be resolved now as Davis confirmed he’s back on:

It was reported this week that the fight could land on the same card as Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury.

While those reports have not been confirmed, one gets the feeling that December will see Davis land on a significant card whatever happens.

This is around the time that his manager Al Haymon’s new Fox Deal is expected to kick off and a huge amount of fights are thought to be in the works behind the scenes by powerful boxing figure Haymon at the moment.
