WBO middleweight world champion Billy Joe Saunders has made headlines again today for activities outside of the boxing ring.
Recently Saunders developed a bit of reputation for being a prankster after an incident at Nandos where he threw a piece of chicken at WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in Belfast.
A video then emerged of Saunders and his crew high tailing it out of the restaurant being pursued by members of Wilder’s entourage.
That was laughed off by many but today’s prank appears to have crossed the line in the eyes of most.
Making fun of someone who appears to be a drug addict has not gone down well on Twitter so far.
Words don’t do this justice, watch for yourself and make your own mind up:
Saunders takes on Demetrius Andrade soon in defense of his title in Boston in a fight that will be shown live on DAZN in the US.
The fight takes place next month on October 20th at the TD Garden Arena.
Saunders currently holds an undefeated record of 26-0-12KO.
He last fought just before Christmas last when he out pointed David Lemieux in Canada in one of the best performances of his career to date.
