Khan Believes Pacquiao Fight 60-70% Chance Of Happening Next

As time has gone on the more and more clear it has become that Amir Khan wants the Manny Pacquiao fight next before the Kell Brook bout.

The thing is, Brook and his shared promoter with Khan, Eddie Hearn both believe that if the fight between the two UK boxing stars doesn’t happen next that it will never happen.

For the fight to not ever happen would break the hearts of many a boxing fan and would be something that surely both boxers would regret after they retire.

But boxing is a business and if it can’t be made, it just can’t be made.

A Manny Pacquiao vs Amir Khan fight is certainly a good alternative.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain Khan believes the Pacquiao fight is close:

“There’s been talks. They are very interested in taking the fight. Manny and me are both in the same position where we are looking for an opponent at the end of the year, start of next year.”

He added:

“I think it is in the high 60’s % or 70% chance (of happening next).”

Pacquiao’s last fight came earlier this summer when for the first time in over nine years he recorded a stoppage win over Lucas Matthysse in Malaysia.
