Pacquiao Shows He Still Has Some Of His Old Speed

Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao is in final preparations for his showdown with Lucas Matthysse on July 15th and despite being now 39 years of age, he’s showing that he’s still got some of his old trademark speed.

Reports of his fight with Matthysse not going ahead were proven to be wide of the mark after Pacquiao categorically said the fight is on again this past weekend, with all money issues surrounding the promotion now understood to be resolved.

The Filipino boxing great will be finishing up his heavy sparring sessions this week with all the hard work now almost done.

He appears to be coming into the fight built more so for speed than anything and ahead of the bout, the folks at Fight Hub TV YouTube have got their hands on some of his latest pad work footage:

Pretty impressive considering where he is at in his career at this point.

Pacquiao last fought in 2017 when he surrendered his WBO welterweight title in a controversial points loss to Australian Jeff Horn.

If Pacquiao were to win on July 15th and England’s Amir Khan wins his upcoming bout in September, speculation has circulated that a showdown between the two could happen by the end of the year.
