Eddie Hearn Responds To Being Called A ‘Snake’ By Wilder

Eddie Hearn: All I Can Think About Is Boxing

English boxing promoter Eddie Hearn came in for a rapid fire session of insults this morning from the WBC heavyweight champion of the world – Deontay Wilder.

Hearn has been at the center of negotiations these past few months in the Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder saga and has often been criticized from the opposing side for his part in the negotiations.

Indeed, Hearn has ruffled many feathers in the US in recent times with his public plan to take over the American boxing market after his recent billion dollar streaming deal with the Perform Group’s DAZN platform.

Promoters like Lou DiBella and Richard Schaefer have fired back at Hearn in recent times.

Hearn has also ruffled the feathers of the likes of boxing advisers Shelly Finkel, Al Haymon and even Luis De Cubas it has now emerged.

As a man who prides himself on working with everybody (or at least what he says in public), Eddie seems to be alienating himself a tad these last few weeks.

Eddie bangs on about bitterness in boxing but could he be starting to partake in the bitterness bug at this stage?

Hearn was called a snake by Deontay Wilder today and following the comment Hearn replied on social media saying:

The British promoter is still trying to come to a final agreement with Wilder’s team over the proposed super fight.

A fight that at this stage is more likely towards the end of the year, depending on what venue in the UK can be secured and what dates are available for it.
