Former world champion Joseph Parker is back in action next month against Dillian Whyte not long after his loss to Anthony Joshua in recent months.
He is straight back into the thick of things after the Joshua loss and to his credit, he’s staying busy and not taking an easy challenge in the form of Dillian Whyte on July 28th.
Parker was the first person to take Joshua the full twelve rounds in his professional career and speaking to Fight Hype, he admitted other fighters had hit him harder than Joshua:
“From the fight that we had from the twelve rounds I didn’t really feel, there was nothing really big that caught me so I can’t really judge his power. But I’ve been hit harder by other fighters. Probably he didn’t land cleanly or anything flush to be able to judge.”
The bout itself between Joshua and Parker didn’t really live up to expectations and turned out to be a more tactical affair than anything in the end, but expect a more exciting clash of styles between Parker and Whyte next month.
Whyte will certainly bring the fight to Parker one suspects.
