Bob Arum Rips Deontay Wilder’s Boxing Ability

Hall of Fame promoter Bob rum is not impressed with Deontay Wilder’s boxing style following his recent win over Luis Ortiz.

Arum is in involved in the promotion somewhat of WBO champion Joseph Parker who takes on Anthony Joshua at the end of this month in a massive unification in Cardiff, Wales.

It’s not surprising that he’s taking shots at one of the other champions consequently.

Speaking to Marcos Villegas from Fight Hub TV, Arum said of what he saw from Wilder against Ortiz:

“I think his boxing style sucks. I don’t think he knows the first thing bout boxing. I think if he gets in there with a guy who can take a punch he’s in trouble. Ortiz just ran out of gas. I don’t care what the judges’ scorecards were. I had Ortiz three points up at the time it was stopped.”

Arum was speaking ahead of his own card this past weekend that saw his fighter Oscar Valdez beat Scott Quigg via unanimous decision live on ESPN.
