Deontay Wilder turns his attention to Joshua in a potentially huge fight later in 2018 if Joshua overcomes his next fight.
That’s the ‘if’ in the equation though.
Wilder has done his part.
He’s added value to a potential Joshua fight and increased his name not just in America after beating Ortiz last night, but his name in world boxing.
The heavyweight division is alive and well once again with the two men and Tyson Fury arguably the three best heavyweights in the world now.
Depending on who you talk to.
Speaking after his big win over Ortiz – Wilder revealed his travel plans to watch Joshua:
“I’m looking forward to coming to Cardiff. The UK has some of the best fans in the world. I’m going to enjoy myself over there, I think it’s going to be a great fight while it lasts and I look forward to fighting the winner if they want it.”
Joshua takes on Joseph Parker in a massive unification bout later this month on March 31st at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
Should he win, you’d have to think the Wilder fight is on the cards. What an event it promises for the sport of boxing.
