Deontay Wilder knocked out Luis Ortiz in round 10 of their WBC heavyweight title fight tonight in New York and man, did he do it in some style.
Ortiz has put Wilder in the deepest trouble of his career just a few rounds prior but somehow, some way, Wilder found a way to win with that God-given power he possess that can end a fight in one shot.
An incredible powerful puncher with an instinctive ability to finish when he smells blood. No doubt about it.
Here’s the moment it all came to an end tonight (Hat tip Write On The Button Twitter):

Amazing scenes. What a fight.
The bout got off to a cagey start in the opening four rounds or so but when it got going both men gave it absolutely everything.
You could tell Wilder was biding his time and waiting for the right moment to let the right hand go – but Ortiz forced that hand with his own work as the bout wore on.
Credit to Wilder tonight.
He will have set up a huge fight with Anthony Joshua after this.
