Some to the point criticism, perhaps a bit harsh in some people’s view, came from Prince Naseem Hamed this weekend after Eubank Jr was defeated by George Groves.
Groves won a comfortable unanimous points decision at the Manchester Arena to defend his WBA 168lbs world title and move onto the final of the World Boxing Super Series.
Following the bout former world champion Naseem Hamed called for Eubank Jr:
“To finish.”
His co-commentator on ITV Box Office Duke McKenzie also branded Eubank Jr as:
“A know it all.”

Obviously Eubank Jr won’t be retiring anytime soon. He is miles too young and has plenty of improvement left in his career.
McKenzie makes a good point however in terms of his training.
Previously renowned trainer Adam Booth was brought in to help with this a few years back but it didn’t last long before a mutual parting of companies occurred.
Perhaps after this weekend’s fight Eubank Jr might look to engage additional help in his career.
Time will tell, but expect some changes after this weekend’s defeat to Groves.
