Mayweather In $1 Billion Fight Talks – Considering Buying NBA Team

Floyd Mayweather behind the scenes is locked in some rather heavy negotiations with significant figures not just in the fight business, but further afield it turns out.

Mayweather last boxed in August of last year when he stopped Irishman Conor McGregor in the 10th round of their bout at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Since then he’s decided to link himself constantly with a fight in the UFC world against McGregor, but many have serious doubts about it.

However he continues to not rule it out and even bang the drum for it. While speaking to ESPN, Mayweather would not confirm where the fight will take place but did say:

“There has been talks about another multi-billion dollar deal.”

Rather interestingly, UFC president Dana White recently didn’t rule it out either.

One of the initial people who was passionately against the first fight between Mayweather and McGregor taking place.

While the fight deal is not done yet, Mayweather appears to be considering different ways about how he would spend the money it if it comes off.

Speaking to Forbes Mayweather revealed:

“I’m thinking about buying an NBA team.”

That would be a big, big play indeed.

Even with Mayweather’s vast fortune and professional gambling and business team he’s surrounded by – it would take a lot of bread to be able to afford an NBA team.

Even for Mayweather.
