It would appear that Anthony Joshua is absolutely hell-bent on getting another fight in the pro ranks with his old amateur nemesis – Dillian Whyte.
The score is currently 1-1 between the two men with Whyte winning in the amateurs and Joshua by devastating knockout in the professional code.
Despite the emphatic nature of Joshua’s demolition of Whyte, he still wants another piece of the man from Brixton.
So much so that when the two recently met ringside at a fight in the UK that Joshua immediately texted his promoter straight after the random run-in with Whyte.
Speaking to IFL TV, Hearn said:
“I saw the stuff at the end that you showed when he talked about fighting and they shook hands and he text me after the show AJ.”
He added:
“It was probably about half 1 in the morning and said: ‘I shook Dillian’s hand tonight’ and he said: ‘That will be a great fight, number two will be a great fight’ something like that.”
Both men are preoccupied for the meantime however.
Whyte will face Lucas Browne next up and bout Joshua will face Joseph Parker in a unification on March 31st.
