Chris Eubank senior continues to come in for heated criticism following comments made about formerly injured boxer Nick Blackwell.
The comments on social media in question pertain to the fight Eubank’s son had with Blackwell a couple of years back where Blackwell suffered a bleed on the brain, went into a coma and almost died as a result of the contest.
Eubank made reference to George Groves in that he hopes the referee protects him from a similar fate in his son’s bout with Groves taking place next week in Manchester.
Many leading boxers have come out in their criticism of Eubank senior for the remarks. The latest been WBO middleweight world champion Billy Joe Saunders:
your a disgrace don’t. Bring Blackwell up you silly floppy penis ??

Fans have also joined in – here is some of the feedback so far for Eubank senior:
Hope groves batters Jr..the one time he came across a good fighter was saunders, an out of shape saunders at that.

No difference in this fight than any other fight. One of the referees main priorities is to protect the fighters. He would do this regardless of your pointless/insensitive comments. Let’s also remember who the bigger, stronger man is in this fight as well, ay English!

Groves doesn’t need you to protect him, he’s a world champion
