Breaking: Tyson Fury To Apply For Boxing License Today – Confirms Comeback Date

Tyson Fury To Apply For Boxing License

Tyson Fury despite what many had though about his comeback has now formally made it official today in 2018 by taking the steps to get his license back.

Fury has not fought since November 2015 when he beat Wladimir Klitschko in Germany to become the lineal heavyweight champion and capture a host of other belts, at the time.

The only one he still currently holds though is the Ring Magazine belt and after a reasonable request from editor Dougie Fischer this week that they had to know when Fury will box by the end of the month, or he could risk losing the belt, Fury has now responded.

Tyson Fury confirmed a short time ago on Twitter that:

“Applying for my boxing Licance today, will be defending my title in April, Can’t wait to get back in the ring.”

Indeed, April is already shaping up to be a big month of boxing with Carl Frampton and Nonito Donaire also scheduled to go at it in Belfast.

It could be conceivable that Fury could be on that card but then again, with the size of Fury’s star – he could easily fill an arena elsewhere in the month himself too.

Either way you look at it, the heavyweight division just got a whole lot more interesting this morning.
