Conor McGregor reacts to Pacquiao boxing showdown talk for 2018 after the Filipino boxer suggested recently his camp had reached out to McGregor.
McGregor certainly had an eventful 2017 with his first and only voyage into the boxing world to date coming up short against Floyd Mayweather.
But nonetheless, one that earned the Irishman life changing money to his credit.
Since then he’s not fought in either boxing or MMA. After the loss to Mayweather he initially left the door open for a possible return to the sweet science.
Well, that door now looks to be closed. At least for the time being.
Clearly his employer Dana White of the UFC not been happy after hearing reports of Manny Pacquiao wanting to fight his star fighter have had the desired effect.
When asked by TMZ if he will box again and fight one Manny Pacquiao, McGregor replied:
“Lets see what happens. I think a true is fight is what I want to. A real fight. Exactly what’s a real fight? MMA mate.”
It is thought McGregor will fight next in the UFC at some point in early 2018.
