Boxing tonight has an unexpected heavyweight fight to look forward to. Here’s what you need to know on the Povetkin vs Hammer fight time, channel, live stream info and more.

Talented Russian heavyweight Alexander Povetkin returns to action tonight hoping to end the year on a bright note in what’s been a frustrating past couple of years for him.

The 38-year-old knows at this stage of his career that a big win tonight against Christian Hammer will be needed to provide the necessary momentum going into 2018 in a bid for possibly one last run at a heavyweight title.

The heavyweight division is stacked at present and with Tyson Fury’s return in early 2018 Povetkin will have to work hard to get back into the mix again.

First off, tonight’s bout will be shown in Russia on Sky Sports in the UK at 6.30pm British time – which works out 10.30am PT on the West coast in the States, -1.30pm in the afternoon ET on the East coast of the US.

However due to TV schedules the ring walks for the Povetkin vs Hammer main event might not be until a little after this.

It will also be available online on the Sky Go app. For those in the States check your local listings and usual online outlets.
