Amir Khan wife Faryal Makhdoom was at the centre of a spat between the two boxers in 2017 but has now cleared up what happened.

The beef between the two originated on Twitter earlier this year when Bolton boxer Khan said he was leaving his wife due to alleged activities between her and heavyweight champion of the world Anthony Joshua.

Joshua at the time laughed off these suggestions on social media, saying “BBW” women were more his type.

Following this, Khan admitted that he had gotten things wrong and not long after announced that he had reconciled with his wife.

In a whirlwind couple of months for Khan, he then announced that he would be going on reality TV show “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here” – of which he is currently participating on.

Khan’s wife has stayed silent for the most part since all the reports and social media posts from Khan.

But speaking to the Daily Star she has now confirmed what happened at the time:

“The screenshots sent to Amir were fake and Amir thought Joshua and I were speaking, when we have never met. Anger took the better of him and he tweeted away without thinking there was absolutely no truth to it.”

Khan has insisted that he will return to the boxing ring in 2018 that will by that point having seen him not box in almost two full years since losing to Canelo.
