Zolani Tete well and truly announced himself onto the world stage with a chilling knockout to win the world title in Belfast.
Zolani Tete won the WBO bantamweight world title tonight with a highlight reel knockout over Siboniso Gonya at the SEE Arena in Belfast.
Well, much more than a highlight reel knockout actually.
The crowd were blown away within seconds of the fight starting as Zolani Tete detonated what can only be described as a baseball bat straight out of hell on his unfortunate opponent.
The moment came with the devastation in the ring occurring at 11 seconds into the bout, setting a new world record in professional boxing in a world title fight.
A chilling right hook that no one saw coming. Right off the bat. Simply remarkable stuff. It improved his professional boxing record to 26-3-21KO.
The win opens up some potentially huge opportunities for the new champion next up, too.
