Tyson Fury reacts to Deontay Wilder victory over Bermane Stiverne at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Fury was in attendance on the same evening of another boxing event that took place in Monte Carlo in France and has been heavily linked with a fight against UK-based heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
However, it wasn’t long ago that Fury and Wilder were linked with a fight against one another when it was Fury who was heavyweight champion of the world.
So much so that Fury even went to the US to attend one of Wilder’s fights in person and famously got in the ring to call him out.
That was a couple of years ago now, mind you, but the friendly rivalry and mutual respect for one another still exists.
Fury has always spoken of his respect for Wilder and seems to limit his more well, colorful choice of vocabulary for his fellow Englishman Anthony Joshua.
Speaking on Twitter today following watching the fight back, Tyson Fury reacts to Deontay Wilder’s win by saying:
“Great performance from @BronzeBomber (Deontay Wilder) just destroyed a top heavyweight, the big boys. Etta Watch out. Whatever he hits he destroys.”
A fight between the two would surely prove to be popular. On both sides of the pond.
