Legendary boxing announcer Michael Buffer is one of many notable boxing figures calling for the heavyweight fight.
Buffer is known for the legendary phrase ‘Lets Get Ready To Rumble’ and only recited it last weekend at the Anthony Joshua vs Carlos Takam fight.
Indeed, outside of his famous voice work in some of boxing’s biggest fights, Buffer is known to be a massive fan of the sport.
Like most are who are involved in it in truth.
Since Tyson Fury tweeted in recent days that the British Boxing Board of Control will give him the “green light” in 2018 to box, talks of a showdown with Anthony Joshua online have gone into overdrive.
This comes following Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn saying he will look to work with Fury in 2018, too.
Of course Fury won’t go straight back into a fight with Joshua and will at least one or two warm ups after such a time away from the ring, but the prospect of such a showdown has got fans and boxing personalities alive salivating.
On the fight Bruce Buffer said:
“Tyson, please return, FURY~JOSHUA would b the GREATEST FIGHT IN U.K.(maybe WORLD)BOXING HISTORY!”
These sentiments were echoed by WBO middleweight champion Blly Joe Saunders who tweeted:
Wot a fight @Tyson_Fury an @anthonyfjoshua I believe the biggest fight and build up in boxing history ?? Credit to you both make it happen
