Catch the Anthony Joshua open workout right here ahead of his fight with Carlos Takam on Saturday night in Cardiff, Wales.
The countdown is well and truly on now to this weekend’s boxing heavyweight championship boxing event that has had to contend with a lot of late tweaks and opponent changes.
The card still goes ahead as a pay per view event however in the UK and Ireland.
It will also feature a host of other talent outside of the main event including a world title fight for Ireland’s Katie Taylor, a world title fight for Kal Yafai, heavyweight Dillian Whyte and more.
The main event between Anthony Joshua and Carlos Takam is now expected to have a ring walk of approximately 10.15pm local time in the UK on Saturday night. 15 minutes later than initially thought.
For viewers on Showtime in the US that works out as 5.15pm ET and 2.15pm PT.
Joshua has looked relentless in his training from footage in recent weeks but will need to be careful of the new fight style to adjust to in Carlos Takam.
His trainer Rob McCraken won’t let complacency creep in though. Either will Joshua.
For as long as it lasts it is hoped Carlos Takam will put on an entertaining fight and come to win but bookmakers are heavily favouring Joshua at present.
Both fighters are getting ready for the open workout as we speak and are putting final tactical tweaks together with their respective trainers.
All the hard work and is well and truly done by this point.
Tapering off, sharpening the tools, getting the game plan in the head and honing the mind on the task at hand is what’s key between now and Saturday.
