The international 2018 Boxing Hall of Fame makes for some list so far.
Always a special event on the boxing calendar every year, next year’s event will once again take place in Canastota, New York.
A list of who’s who will be in attendance with legendary fighters of the sport’s history honoured, as well as other notable figures who have contributed to the sport of boxing’s rich history.
Below is what the current nominees list looks like for judges to pick from this year, bearing in mind that only three of these names can make it through to the Hall of Fame this year.
The following image has been leaked slightly early online this year with a ballot box that the one of the judges has been sent:
As you can see, some well known names above there straight off the bat.
The likes of ‘Winky’ Wright, Ricky Hatton, Nigel Benn, James ‘Buddy’ McGirt, Vitali Klitschko, Donald Curry, Erik Morales and Meldrick Taylor just some of the names that jump off the page straight away.
Typically this news isn’t released until around December with the event then scheduled to take place in June of next summer (2018).
It’s a tough list to choose from with so many legendary and deserving names above. Who would you pick? Feel free to reach out with your opinion on social media.
