Former heavyweight champion of the world Tyson Fury speaks a lot of sense in this tweet that says a lot to anyone, no matter who you are.
As someone who works daily online covering the sport of boxing I tend to see the craziness of the internet and the madness of the world on social media as much as anyone.
Whether it’s global uncertainty, to potential wars waiting to erupt at the drop of a hat, to horrific terrorism and random acts of violence, the internet and the modern world is certainly one screwed up place these days.
Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of good things happening in the world too though. Stumbling upon this tweet from Tyson Fury today that garnered a lot of re-tweets puts things in perspective.
For many of us whether media, fans or others involved in the sport of boxing, I thought it acted as a decent reminder that there is a lot to be thankful for and a more going on outside the boxing bubble that many of us live in:
Be thankful for the most basic things in life, freedom, health, life,
Family, friends, food, roof over your head, water, air, if u have ? ??— TYSON2FASTFURY (@Tyson_Fury) September 13, 2017

From a boxing perspective it’s not known if we’ll see him back in the ring this year.
If it goes into 2018 by the time he makes a comeback it will be a difficult task to get back to the level he was at given the significant time out of the ring.
Lets hope we see him back in the ring doing what he does best soon.
As things stand, this win over Wladimir Klitschko back in November 2015 is still the last time that Tyson Fury boxed in a professional boxing ring:
