Floyd Mayweather gives first proper sit down interview since beating Conor McGregor where he discusses everything.
Over two weeks has passed now since the Mayweather vs McGregor fight and in his first interview at length since the bout, Floyd Mayweather is now referring to himself as the ‘billion dollar man’.
Presumably his earnings since the fight have smashed passed the one billion mark for his career in boxing. Although official numbers for pay per view buys from the event are still unknown.
It is known however that the gate did less than expected it would – but still produced a cool $55 million.
Mayweather has been adamant that he is definitely retired at this point with a record of 50-0 (27KO) following the bout with McGregor.
The American boxer has now gone into length about how the whole McGregor fight came about, how his adviser Al Haymon got in touch with the UFC to set it up and even how Showtime commentator Jim Grey from Showtime played a role in initial talks to get the fight on.
Months and months passed and eventually it came to fruition, but initially the fight was not looking likely behind the scenes Mayweather outlined below, as well as a lot more.
Here is the first full sit down chat about everything on the McGregor event, now that the dust is settled via Hollywood Unlocked YouTube (hat tip):
