Conor Benn and Joshua Buatsi chalked in two devastating performances tonight at York Hall in London. Stunning punching power.

The two headliners in tonight’s UK boxing didn’t disappoint as they marched on and extended their unbeaten records.

First up, Nigel Benn’s son Conor Benn improved his professional boxing record to 8-0 (6KO) with a showing of massive right hands on unfortunate opponent Kane Blaker.

Benn took the undefeated record of Blaker and made it three knockouts on the spin via some devastating power that his opponent just couldn’t handle:

Many have likened his aggression, power and fight style to his father’s.

While big comparisons to make so early in his career, there are definitely some tangible parallels that can be drawn between both men’s fan-friendly styles.

The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree by the looks of things.

Fighting in the welterweight division, Conor Benn will have his hands full as his career develops mind you – plenty of challenges out there moving forward.

In the main event tonight Joshua Buatsi closed the show inside the distance in round five to go 2-0 (2KO) in his light-heavyweight pro boxing career thus far.

He did a demolition job in the end on out matched Baptiste Castegnaro. Here’s when the moment came where the fight ended:

24 year old Buatsi once he found his range and settled down in his work showed plenty of poise and composure for a still relatively inexperienced boxer as a pro.

His power and brute strength proved to be too much for his opponent in the end. Like Benn, he also finds himself in a traditionally very competitive division at light-heavyweight.

Many are tipping Buatsi to go all the way and be the real deal over the coming years when seeking world honors at 175lbs.

He’s certainly impressed so far in his first two fights as a pro to be fair.
