Well known boxers and MMA fighters around the world give their reaction to the Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor boxing match.
Tonight was the coming together of the boxing and mixed martial arts world on a scale combat sports had never seen before.
It brought together not only the two global fight communities – but the larger overall sports community as a whole.
The respect that has been pouring out (for the most part) from both worlds for tonight’s bout between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor has been a joy to see.
Despite coming up short over ten rounds to Floyd Mayweather, Conor McGregor surprised the world and earned a lot of plaudits for his bravery.
40 year old Mayweather paid tribute to McGregor afterwards saying:
“He was better than I thought.”
