Perhaps as unusual and unique a boxer ring entrance in recent professional boxing history. Full marks for creativity.
We’ve seen some crazy ring entrances over the years from rope flips, to fighters getting carried in on thrones – to boxers flying in from the rooftops on magic carpets.
But this one could take the pic for creativity.
Halloween is still sometime away but that didn’t stop boxer Steven Nelson cracking out his costume on last night’s Terence Crawford vs Julius Indongo card.
As he proceeded to make his way to the ring he was wheeled out in a straight jacket with a menacing costume likened to that of mythical movie character Hannibal Lecter.
Quite the boxer ring entrance:

Hats off Steven, hats off.
It proved to be a positive omen for him too as he scored an impressive win on the night.
There has been some pretty cool and outside the boxing boxing ring entrances over the years and having watched the above from last night we were feeling a bit nostalgic.
Time for a trip down good old memory lane to some other memorable ring walks over the years in this frequently gloriously nutty sport that we call the fight game:
