A Mayweather McGregor workout will take place today featuring Floyd Mayweather in his gym in Las Vegas ahead of August 26th’s fight.

Some of the world’s media will once again descend on the Floyd Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas later today – to watch what will be one of the last ever public workouts of Floyd Mayweather as an active professional fighter.

Mayweather has insisted that August 26th’s novelty fight against Conor McGregor will be the last of his professional career after he told Stephen A Smith of ESPN that he gave his manager and adviser Al Haymon his word.

Despite most within the boxing world expecting Mayweather to win quite handily, you wouldn’t know it from the condition the American is in.

Ever the professional and gym rat, he’s trained hard for this. He knows it’s a fight at the end of the day and he still has to be fit to box for twelve three minute rounds.

Whether the fight will go the distance or not is another question entirely. Logic would suggest that it won’t, but then, logic and unarmed combat have a history of not going hand and hand famously.
