Anthony Joshua Meets Floyd Mayweather Ahead Of McGregor Fight
Anthony Joshua meets Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas during an extended trip to the United States this summer.
Anthony Joshua has been spending quite some time in Las Vegas recently and in particular, around Floyd Mayweather and his renowned boxing gym in Sin City.
While Joshua no doubt is enjoying a vacation in the States, there is also huge speculation that he is also there on business due to his rematch with Wladimir Klitschko now heavily linked with taken place in Las Vegas later this year.
No official confirmation has come as yet, but it is thought that a November date is being targeted for the part two of an event that brought 90,000 fans to Wembley first time round last April in London.
Joshua has already backed Mayweather to do a job on Conor McGregor when they box on August 26th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas – but has been pictured again with the American in a night club ahead of next month’s mega event in the same city:
Joshua’s post of ‘strength in numbers’ pictured alongside Mayweather suggests the two are striking up a solid friendship in recent times.
Sparring partners are something Joshua will need in Las Vegas if the Klitschko rematch does happen there, so likely Mayweather and his gym will be able to help out in that regard in terms of sourcing quality heavyweights for him.
