‘Lets Go Champ’ Shannon Briggs responds to the news of a failed drug test from VADA for elevated testosterone levels.
It was confirmed yesterday by the WBA (World Boxing Association) that Shannon Briggs had indeed failed a VADA drug test ahead of a proposed heavyweight title fight early next month in Florida.
Briggs has the right to have his B sample tested and it is understood is currently in this process of this at the moment.
Outside of that however, the former heavyweight champion has now addressed the situation on social media with the following:

The news this week came as a bitter blow to those wanting to see Briggs complete what would have been a remarkable comeback in career and life fortunes over the past number of years.
The fight as things stand looks like it is off pending the outcome of the B-sample results which should be known in the next few days or so.
