If You Have Not Heard Of Erickson Hammer Lubin Just Watch This

Amid all the talk this weekend in boxing surrounding the David Haye vs Tony Bellew and Keith Thurman vs Danny Garcia fights, a hidden gem may have gone underneath the radar a tad in the US on the undercard of Thurman vs Garcia. An undefeated future star by the name of Erickson Hammer Lubin.

21 year old Erickson Hammer Lubin went 18-0 (13KO) with a scintillating stoppage win to get the packed crowd in the mood for the main event at the Barclays Center.

Possessing ridiculously impressive boxing skills, super-welterweight Lubin who’s nickname is the ‘Hammer’ exacted some hammer time on his Mexican opponent Jorge Cota.

Florida man Lubin began the fight cautiously, waiting for his openings and getting a sense of what Cota was all about.

But those openings began to come for him in the third round and then ultimately in the fourth, when he closed the show in style.

He used a move that almost reminded me of something Roy Jones Jr did against James Toney years ago, when Jones stooped down from an unusual boxing stance in boxing terms, to explode up to his feet again and coil out of his crouched position with a big left hook.

Lugin’s power was conveyed through the overhand left on this occasion. Here it is below, along with the main moments in the fight in case you missed it:
