Mayweather-McGregor online talk has gone into overdrive yet again this weekend, as it looks like it’s taken another step towards happening. A boxing match that is.
Although the competitiveness in an actual boxing match will heavily favor Floyd Mayweather, who will likely make very easy work of McGreogr if they do meet in the squared circle, the intrigue between the two fight characters continues to evoke emotion from the wider public.
Both boxing and MMA fans and indeed general sports fans are drawn to it, although it is now starting to feel like a bit of a drawn out process which needs to be signed on the dotted line sooner rather than later.
But then one guy says something, or the other does, like McGregor’s highly controversial remarks here on Mayweather being a maltester.
Then people are talking about it, again.
That’s why both men are so successful. They know how to market, how to sell – how to generate hype to generate interest.
Speaking on McGregor’s remarks this weekend with Jim Grey of Showtime Floyd Mayweather said:
“I believe the fight can happen, Conor McGregor like as I said before, he’s a tough competitor. He proved through the years in the UFC that he can fight standing up.”
He added:
“I truly believe the fans want this fight. The fans have been asking for this fight.”
