Zou Shiming Boxing Result From Las Vegas

The Zou Shiming boxing result tonight went the way of his millions of fans in China.

The double Olympic gold medallist Zou Shiming and now (after tonight’s win) the WBO flyweight world champion impressed tonight at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.

He landed some solid combinations on opponent Prasitsak Phaprom right off the bat in round one – establishing dominance early on.

It was the second time the two fighters had squared off and like the first fight Phaprom was struggling again with Shiming’s blistering speed in round 2.

Shiming scored the first knockdown of the fight in round two. He couldn’t miss with the straight right hand with Phaprom displaying little to no head movement.

The massively popular boxer in China, Shiming, continued his target practice and pin point accurate work in the third.

Shiming got behind the jab and utilized his footwork a little more in the fourth round. A slightly lower pace compared to previous rounds but still a comfortable round in the bag for him.

Phaprom had some success in the 5th with the right hand but Shiming’s boxing and lateral movement frustrated him.

Shiming really let his hands go towards the end of the 6th round and both men at one point dropped thire hands and gestured towards one another to stand and fight.

The Freddie Roach trained Chinese fighter Zou Shiming continued his strong momentum in the 7th round with some nice straight punches.

Shiming upped the ante in round 8 and displayed excellent punch variation, mixing in some nice uppercuts into his straight shot output – while also making his opponent miss with wild hay makers at times.

He continued to box well in the 9th and got on his bike moving around the ring more, really frustrating Phaprom. Shiming’s straight one two’s down the pipe couldn’t miss in the 10th round.

Phaprom showed a lot of spirit to his credit in the 11th round, even pushing Shiming back at times and landed a really sweet right hand at one point.

Shiming closed out the fight in solid fashion on route to claiming a unanimous points decision that saw him become WBO flyweight world champion in only his 10th professional fight.
