If you’re a fan of all out wars in the squared circle this new Frampton Santa Cruz promo video should get you in the mood for what promises to be one hell of a rematch.

First time round earlier this year Carl Frampton (23-0-14KO) won a majority decision at the Barclays Center in New York after a thrilling fight that had a little bit of everything.

In doing so, the Belfast man became a two-weight world champion and captured Santa Cruz’s WBA (Super) featherweight strap.

It was also the Mexican warrior’s first defeat of his professional career (32-1-1-18KO).

So you can bet you’re bottom dollar he will be training relentlessly right through Christmas this year as he readies himself for the rematch on January 28th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Speaking of the rematch.

The folks at the Showtime YouTube channel have brought out this palpably energizing Frampton Santa Cruz promo video ahead of the fight:

It marks a strong start to the US boxing calendar in 2017 with news also coming last night that the long awaited Keith Thurman vs Danny Garcia welterweight showdown will also take place on March 4th.

As regards the Santa Cruz vs Frampton rematch though. If you can’t get excited about this one then you probably can’t get excited about much else.

A genuine world title fight between two of the best lighter weight fighters in the sport today competing in the prime of their careers.

The card will also feature more world title action for the WBC lightweight title between Dejan Zlaticanin and Mikey Garcia.

Bring it on.
