Tyson Fury Boxing Licence Suspended By BBBofC

Tyson Fury boxing licence has been suspended by the British Boxing Board of Control.

Last night the former lineal heavyweight champion of the world Tyson Fury announced that he is vacating all his titles to give himself the time needed to recover from his current health issues.

The British Boxing Board of Control have added further salt in the wounds this morning by releasing this short statement on their official website:

“The British Boxing Board of Control confirms that Mr. Fury’s boxer’s licence is suspended pending further investigation into anti-doping and medical issues.”

It is not known when the investigation could commence however, as it is understood Tyson is due to check himself into medical treatment soon to get help with his problems, so it might be some time before he even thinks about getting a professional boxing license again anyway.

He last fought in the ring almost a year ago in November 2015, when he famously dethroned Wladimir Klitschko to become the recognised lineal heavyweight champion of the world.

Since then, troubled times have followed him with depression, cocaine use and more.

Lets hope we see Fury back in the ring next year at some point doing what he does best and doing it in 100% mental and physical condition.
