Vasyl Lomachenko Next Fight Expected November 26th

WBO super-featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko next fight being tipped for Vegas on November 26th but against who as of yet, is not known.

The supremely skilled boxing craftsman became a two-weight world champion this year in only seven professional fights when he defeated Roman Martinez in scintillating fashion inside the distance back in June.

It was one of his finest performances to date, one that put it all on display from his ring craft, boxing IQ and ultimately, his ruthless finishing instincts.

It now appears we will see the man from Ukraine who now fights out of Oxnard, California, return to action on November 26th at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

One potential opponent being mooted is Nicholas Walters (26-0-1-21KO). The former WBA super-featherweight world champion had been linked with Lomachenko (6-1-4KO) before so this seems like a plausible opponent choice potentially.

Bob Arum told the Las Vegas Review Journal this week that the fight announcement for Lomachenko is expected to be next week at the latest.

One fight that doesn’t seem possible now given the gap in weight classes competed in by both men, is a Rigondeaux vs Lomachenko bout.

A mouthwatering potential showdown was talked about earlier this year but with Lomachenko competing at super-featherweight (130lbs) now, it looks like the fight is gone as things stand with ‘Rigo’ campaigning at super-bantamweight (122lbs).

For those who might not be familiar with the pugilistic exploits of the precociously talented 130lbs WBO champion and former double Olympic gold medallist, here is a reminder of just how good he can be at times:
