The Liam Smith vs Canelo early undercard fights are been live streamed tonight free of charge for the public courtesy of the Golden Boy Promotions Facebook page.
The undercard consists of a number of up and coming prospects while also featuring some more established names before the main event gets underway later this evening.
The preliminary bouts of the evening will feature up and coming fighter from the Golden Boy Promotions stable such as Joseph Diaz and Diego De La Hoya, but will also show Sadam Ali and the co-main feature of the night will be Garbriel Rosado vs Willie Monroe Jr in the middleweight division.
That’s a fight I’m looking forward to in particular, one that on paper at least really seems like a competitive encounter and will pit your typical boxer vs fighter styles together, which is always an intriguing view.
The last time Monroe Jr was in June last summer when he defeated John Thompson via unanimous decision in New York.
Rosado’s last outing in a professional boxing ring also came last June, when he also won a unanimous decision against his foe Antonio Gutierrez in Carson, California.
With the event being in Texas this evening you can expect the main event to be on at the earliest at about 2am UK / Irish time, which is 6pm PT and 9pm ET in the USA.
Then again, it might also stretch on a little later than that depending on TV schedules and of course how the undercard fights go, in terms of how early some of them are over and how many ‘float’ fights might need to be used.
Here is a live stream (hat tip) courtesy of the Golden Boy Promotions Facebook available here page if you are on Facebook, who are streaming the early undercard fights for fans for free tonight on social media, before the pay per view gets underway later on:
