BoxNation Launch Box Office Channel Ahead of Fury vs Klitschko Rematch

BoxNation have launched their own box office channel ahead of the upcoming Tyson Fury vs Wladimir Klitschko rematch for the heavyweight championship of the world on October 29th at the Manchester Arena.

BoxNation CEO George Warren made the announcement at a press conference in London today and stated that the channel will be located on number 490 on the Sky platform.

It was also noted that existing customers of BoxNation will not be out of pocket and will still get the Fury vs Klitschko fight if they are already a BoxNation subscriber and will not be charged twice.

Essentially, the pay per view platform looks like it will slightly level the playing field in British boxing with the dominant current promoter Matchroom boxing, who enjoy an exclusive contract with Sky Sports for boxing at the moment in the UK and Ireland.

The new box office channel will provide instantaneous purchasing capability for fans looking to buy a fight via their remote without needing to sign up for a subscription.

As regards the press conference today, Tyson Fury was absent due to traffic and car trouble, while Klitschko seemed in confident form – very driven ahead of the rematch.

Trainer and uncle of Tyson Fury, Peter Fury, mentioned that Klitschko will need to do something very different in the rematch and they are training for this accordingly, noting that he expects it to be a very entertaining fight as a consequence of Wladimir needing to take more chances this time round.
