Chris Eubank Jr is known for posting regular training videos showing him relentlessly hitting bags and pads, but this latest clip could be his most intense yet.
This extra determination and drive for Eubank Jr could understandably be born out of frustration, who by all accounts, had no apparent role in the now infamous negotiations that fell through for a massive fight this year with world boxing star Gennady Golovkin.
That opportunity has now passed Eubank Jr for the time being, with Britain’s IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook now gearing up for Golovkin next month instead.
Eubank has also been involved in some online spats recently following the Golovkin talks falling through, namely against old nemesis and current WBO middleweight champion of the world Billy Joe Saunders.
It appeared that a rematch between the two was close to being made after an apparent verbal agreement between Saunders and Eubank’s father over Twitter but alas, that rematch will now have to wait.
Eubank now instead faces Tommy Langford from the UK in Cardiff on October 22nd in a fight that although he will be expected to win, certainly cannot afford to overlook.
Particularly if he wants to fight for a world title next year.
Langford is an improving middleweight who is unbeaten in his 17 professional fight campaign to date and possesses excellent technical boxing ability for a man of his experience.
He will be looking at the Eubank fight as a massive chance to catapult himself even further up the world boxing rankings and no doubt will be throwing the proverbial ‘kitchen sink’ at his more well known adversary to achieve this.
Styles make fights as they say and if you were a betting man, going on Eubank’s more extensive experience and higher quality of opposition faced to date, you’d have to favour Eubank at this point in time.
But Langford is also highly durable and has the stamina to make it an interesting fight if he performs to his very best and manages to take Eubank into the second half of the bout.
Eubank Jr obviously knows this, given the massive output of energy he is expending at the moment in this high work rate training regime:
