Updated: World Boxing Champions List

Following last weekend’s world title action, we have updated our professional boxing world champions list.

The main movers last weekend were Scotland’s Ricky Burns who captured the WBA (Regular) world super-lightweight title by stopping Italian Michelle Di Rocco, and also Liverpool’s Tony Bellew – who won the WBC crusierweight title by knocking out Illunga Makabu at Goodison Park in front of his hometown fans.

But it’s been a busy couple of weeks across the world of boxing between title fights, belts getting vacated and awarded, and so on.

For the purpose of our world champions list we have kept it to the four recognised governing bodies at this particular time in world professional boxing – WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF.

Our separate pound for pound top 10 list can be found in the menu tab above.

For our fully updated list of all the current professional boxing world champions from heavyweight right down to straw-weight (minimum weight) please click here to be taken onto our update world champions page.
